There are three separate facilities at
Fort Dix. The East side, the West side and the Camp. It
is helpful if you know where you are going, because you
have to be processed at that location. We ask that you
end your visit at least 15 minutes before we are
scheduled to leave. This should give you enough time to be
escorted out, since visitors are escorted in groups ten
or less.
The visiting process usually starts at 8:30AM and is
interrupted between 9:30AM and 10:00AM, because of procedure. The
process normally resumes around 11:00 o’clock. To visit an
inmate at Fort Dix, you have to be on the visitors list if you
are 16 years or older. One form of ID is required for
anyone on the visitors list. The accepted form of ID has
to be government or state issued and cannot be expired.
You can contact the institution to verify acceptable
forms of ID.
You will need change for
the vending machines while on the visit. No currency
